I met Rachel Heisham in Missoula, Montana, two months after she had been given a terminal cancer diagnosis. That diagnosis hasn’t stopped Rachel from living her best life. We have hiked mountains and soaked in hot springs, instant friends because of our shared love of adventure. In the process of making a film about Rachel's story, I became more immersed in her life than I could ever have imagined. I have driven her to doctor's appointments and tried to help her navigate making very difficult medical decisions. There are no easy answers. Rachel makes do the best she can at every turn.
This film is about Rachel’s struggle to find hope and meaning amid momentous odds, and the journey for healing both physical and mental. We need your help to finish it.
